2001 isuzu rodeo engine problems?

Problem I'm having is when the fuel system goes into closed loop it starts missing and backfiring. What could cause this? Previous owner had some work done to it and still can't fix it. They did replace the O2 sensors. Looked at them and 3 of them look good, bank 1 sensor 2 (after cat) is all black and sooty.
