Starting to try to have a baby today, any suggestions?

Not naturally, I'm gay and her husband had a vasectomy, all parties are fine with the situation and really excited. She'll have full custody, I'll have every other weekend. Anyways I'll be putting my little soldiers in a cup, she'll be injecting via a needless syringe. Has anyone done this? How long did it take? Any suggestions?
