How can I discover my sense of fashion?

I would like to start dressing a little more fashionable but find it hard to discover whats right for me.I am not much into hip hop culture nor am I into the rapper look.When I was younger I was into punk rock.I really like doc marten boots but I really dont see anybody wearing them that much anymore.I like the business suit with a twist of bad boy english.Anybody have any tips or just put some cool items to wear to the club that would make a hit without dressing like a rapper or seventies cowboy with those weird shirts that have all those meaningless sayings on them with skulls and such.
